Titanium sheet and plate is a flat, thin piece of metal that is made from the element of titanium. Due to their excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility, they are widely used in a variety of industries.

Titanium plate and sheet can be formed into various shapes and sizes to suit specific applications, including aerospace components, medical implants, marine equipment and chemical processing vessels. To achieve different mechanical properties and surface finishes, they can be produced using a variety of processes, including hot or cold rolling, annealing and pickling.

Titanium plates and sheets are used in different parts of the human body as it is lightweight, strong and corrosion resistant. Titanium plates are used in many ways, including but not limited to artificial hip joints, dental implants, orthopedic implants, and bone substitutes.

Surface treatment: Wash the surface of plates by using acid liquid and alkali liquid, and then polish and sandblast the surface.

Surface quality: The surface has high accuracy and smooth finish. Darkening surface and water mark on the surface are not allowed. No defects, such as scratches, impressions, pits, cracks, oxide skins, backfins, laminations and marks of alkali washing.

Physical properties: Better elongation and strength. No deformation after cold bending. No cracks after flattening and flaring.

Test: Tensile strength test, flaring and flattening test, hardness test, test on chemical ingredients, high-temperature tension test, room-temperature tension test and test on bending properties.

State supplied: Hot processing state (R), cold processing state (Y), and annealed state (M)

Titanium Plates vs Sheets

Used for a wide range of purposes, including medical implants and vehicle manufacturing, titanium plate is among the most popular products .We also fabricate and supply titanium sheets – and there is a difference between the two types of metal product.

Generally, a titanium plate is somewhat thicker than a titanium sheet. Some plates can be as thick as 150mm – or even more – while the thinnest plates measure around 2mm thick.

Sheets, on the other hand, can often be less than 1mm thick. However, there can be some crossover between the two types, with some sheets reaching 25mm in thickness.

Often, plates are custom-fabricated, while sheets may be cut from a continuous roll – but, again, this isn’t always the case.

Titanium Plate are commonly used in manufacturing today, with the most popular grades being 2 and 5.
